ROYAL BELUM FOREST, GRIK PERAK

Royal Belum is located in Grik, Perak covering an area about 290,000 hectres where half of the area is covered by virgin forests. At least 60 salt licks are scattered around the Belum area ususally covered with tracks from the Sambar Deer, the Kijangs, Tapir, Elephants, wild Boars, and the Sumatran Rhino. It is also the home of 10 different hornbills and a wide range of flora including the Rafflesia. The area is also the home of Temiar tribe who often live in groups along Sungai Sara
